Upcoming changes to ANTHC retirement program

There are some upcoming changes to the ANTHC retirement program that the Benefits team wants to make staff aware of. The Employee Retirement Oversight Committee of the Board of Directors approved the following changes effective April 29. The investment menu will be consolidated and streamlined for the 403(b) and 401(a) plans.  There is also a name change for one of the investment options (Allspring Discovery Fund), the fees for periodic and installment payments have been streamlined and reduced. Our Time and Attendance System Is Changing

In May 2021, ANTHC initiated a project to convert our Kronos Workforce Central time and attendance to a system known as UKG Dimensions. ANTHC Paid COVID-19 Sick Time and Employee Health procedures updated

The ANTHC’s Paid COVID-19 Sick Time Procedure, HR602-01 (January 11, 2022), has been updated. The CDC recently updated its guidance on when employees may return to work after a COVID-19 infection after a reduced isolation period length of 5-7 days from symptom onset or positive test. The ANTHC COVID-19 sick time procedure has been updated accordingly. Flu vaccines have arrived! Flu and COVID-19 Vaccination Clinics happening all week from 7 a.m.-3 p.m.

We have flu vaccination supply on campus! Employees can visit an upcoming clinic for both influenza and COVID-19 vaccine ANMC Conference Room 2. Payroll update: night and weekend shift differentials change

Payroll update: There will be a small change to night and weekend shift differentials with the alignment of the non-exempt nursing pay structure, beginning July 18, 2021.  Night shift differentials will apply from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m., and weekend differentials will apply from 6 p.m. on Friday through 6 a.m. on Monday.  Eligible employees must work at least 4 consecutive hours in the time window in order for differentials to apply.  Any questions, please contact the Payroll team.

APU scholarship program for ANTHC employees and their dependents update

Did you know that Alaska Pacific University offers a tuition discount to ANTHC employees and dependents? There have been some changes made to the program, but Alaska Pacific University offers up to a 30% tuition discount to ANTHC employees and dependents who are enrolled APU students. For Alaska Native or American Indian employees, ANTHC will match an additional 25 percent of the remaining total tuition that is the student’s responsibility. ANTHC policies update: Bereavement and Performance Assessment

The Bereavement and Performance Assessment Policies have been recently updated. The policy updates do not change the actual benefit or policy but rather provide clarity to the old policies.  Bereavement Policy: language was added to clarify the amount of time allowed to be taken off in a standard workweek, to a maximum of 40 hours.
