Campus dial plan changes effective May 14

Alaska Native Tribal Health Consortium (ANTHC) and Southcentral Foundation (SCF) IT departments are performing a dial plan change that will standardize phone communications across the Alaska Native Health Campus, Benteh Nuutah Valley Native Primary Care Center and SCF rural community locations. Reports of fraudulent text messages appearing to come from ANTHC leadership

What has happened:  IT Security has received reports of employees receiving suspicious smishing (text) messages that appear to come from different ANTHC leaders. Smishing is similar to email-based phishing attacks but instead of sending a fraudulent email, the attacker sends a fraudulent text message.
