Campus dial plan changes effective May 14

Alaska Native Tribal Health Consortium (ANTHC) and Southcentral Foundation (SCF) IT departments are performing a dial plan change that will standardize phone communications across the Alaska Native Health Campus, Benteh Nuutah Valley Native Primary Care Center and SCF rural community locations. Security System Upgrades

Campus phone system downtime is being rescheduled; no changes to the current campus dial plan

Reports of fraudulent text messages appearing to come from ANTHC leadership

What has happened:  IT Security has received reports of employees receiving suspicious smishing (text) messages that appear to come from different ANTHC leaders. Smishing is similar to email-based phishing attacks but instead of sending a fraudulent email, the attacker sends a fraudulent text message. The attacker uses this text message to attempt to trick the recipient into performing some action that benefits them. Two-factor authentication required for remote and Global Protect users started Aug. 1

ANTHC is rolling out two-factor authentication for staff to protect the security and safety of our networks against cyber threats. The next phase of this rollout impacts users who work remotely either full or part-time and connect to the network via Global Protect. Two-factor authentication goes into effect July 25 for remote and VDI users

To protect the security and safety of our networks against cyber threats, ANTHC is rolling out two-factor authentication to ANTHC users. The first phase of this rollout impacts users who access the ANTHC network by going to remote.anthc.org or VDI.anthc.org. All hospital televisions moving to DISH Network effective Wednesday, Dec. 15

Patient Portal: Release of Clinical Notes to Patients update

On 3/31/2021 most clinical notes that are written in Cerner will be automatically released to the Patient Portal (MyHealth) immediately upon being signed.
