AK Liver Disease ECHO: Recognizing Common Autoimmune Liver Diseases Seen in Alaska Native and American Indian Peoples

September 21, 2023 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm

AK LD ECHO is a comprehensive program to assist Tribal Healthcare Providers to provide better care to Alaska Native/American Indian patients with liver disease. It aims to increase Tribal health care providers’ knowledge about diagnosis, treatment, management, and prevention of liver disease.

Each session begins with a liver disease didactic presented by a subject matter expert followed by one or more case presentations by a provider(s) to the subject matter experts who can provide holistic, best practices input, and a panel discussion.

In support of improving patient care, Alaska Native Medical Center (ANMC) is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.
Continuing education is available for Behavioral Health (APA), Social Work (ASWB-ACE), and Dietitians (CPEU).

This ECHO (Extension for Community Healthcare Outcomes) is supported by a grant from the Northwest Portland Area Indian Health Board and funding is provided by the HHS Secretary’s Minority HIV/AIDS Fund.
