DiSC Communication: Productive Conflict

This training will define conflict, help improve self-awareness of your conflict behaviors and responses to conflict. You will learn about your DiSC style and other DiSC styles in conflict. Attending will help you identify automatic destructive thoughts and understand how they can impact your conflict behaviors. You will learn how to reframe thoughts so that you can become more productive, and improve workplace results and relationships.

Learning Objectives

After this training, you will be able to:

Define conflict;

Understand your behaviors and responses in conflict based on your DiSC Style;

Recognize that each DiSC style has different priorities and responses in conflict;

Begin applying reframing techniques to have more productive conflict with coworkers, family and friends

Course Outline

  1. Introductions
  2. Defining conflict
  3. Understanding your own DiSC style in conflict
  4. Learn about the other DiSC styles in conflict
  5. Learn how DiSC styles interact in conflict
  6. Learn how automatic thoughts influence destructive behaviors
  7. Identify and understand destructive conflict behaviors that you use
  8. Recognize automatic thoughts that you typically have during conflict
  9. Practice catching and reframing automatic thoughts
  10. Explore more productive responses

For the best experience, you’ll want to have a working microphone, a webcam, and be docked with at least one monitor.
