David Dyer

Dr. Dyer was the first emergency medicine physician I have worked with who identified that a patient’s new-onset stridor was psychogenic and consulted my service (oto) for evaluation. Most patients are diagnosed with PVFMD after numerous unnecessary intubations in the ED, at which point they often have iatrogenic laryngeal injury. Dr. Dyer prevented this from happening to this patient with his clinical poise.
