The Sepsis Prevention Workgroup would like to recognize your outstanding efforts in the management of severe sepsis patients during November 2024. Your commitment to promptly completing the SEP-1 bundle treatments for patients diagnosed with severe sepsis has played a pivotal role in improving sepsis care and reducing mortality at ANMC. Your adherence to CMS SEP-1 guidelines has ensured that we continue to meet critical standards for timely intervention, improving both patient outcomes and overall compliance with national quality measures. Thank you for your dedication to our mission by providing the highest quality health services in partnership with our people and the Alaska Tribal Health System.

The following CMS SEP-1 bundles were met:
• Blood cultures collected before antibiotics and within 3 hours of severe sepsis
• Antibiotics within 3 hours of severe sepsis
• Initial lactic acid collected within 3 hours of severe sepsis
• Repeat lactic acid collected within 6 hours of severe sepsis if initial lactic acid was >2 mmol/L
