We desperately needed IV access on a labor patient and it was almost 9pm. The patient had been poked at least 4 times by nurses and the CRNAs. I called vascular access just hoping someone might answer kind of late at night, but not expecting it. Sam answered and was so helpful. He came right over and got an IV and labs on this patient.
