On Thursday, Aug. 8, the second phase of the Tudor Centre Drive closure began, and the southeast ANMC Emergency Services entrance off Diplomacy Drive is now closed. The entry for Emergency Services access and drop off has shifted to the northeast ramp off Tudor Centre drive.
The Alaska Native Health Campus will continue to see significant traffic and parking impacts due to construction activities for the Emergency Services Expansion project. Please allow yourself more time to get to campus and remain alert for detour signage and traffic pattern changes.
The remainder of the ANMC hospital east side parking is offline for construction activities, except for limited ADA accessible parking and short-term parking for Emergency Room patient drop offs.
The egress door at the south end of the skybridge is also be closed at this time due to exterior construction activities. Please enter from the Patient Housing Parking Garage or another door.
Upcoming Road Closure:
In this second phase of the closure, construction crews are continuing underground utility work, which requires closure of a portion of Tudor Centre Drive between the back (north side) of the ANMC hospital and the front of Patient Housing. The entry for Emergency Services access and drop off has shifted to the northeast ramp off Tudor Centre drive. The southeast entry off Diplomacy Drive is closed for construction activities. This second phase of the Tudor Centre Drive closure is expected to finish on Aug. 26.
Please remain alert and aware of construction activities when driving or walking on campus.
Parking Update:
Construction crews recently extended their construction footprint in the ANMC hospital east side parking lot, taking spaces offline and extending the construction fence. Day parking is no longer available in the ANMC hospital east lot – except for limited ADA accessible parking and short-term parking for Emergency Services patient drop offs.
The very limited remaining ANMC hospital east lot parking spots are reserved for ADA accessible parking and ER patient drop off. Staff are not permitted to park in this area – please park in the west pond overflow lot or one of the parking garages on campus.
Additional parking locations include: the ANMC Patient Housing Parking Garage (north of the hospital), the Denali Parking Garage (east of the hospital), and the Flattop Mountain Parking Garage (south of the hospital).
