Overview:
Store-and-Forward is a telehealth method that enables the collection and secure transmission of patient information, such as medical history, diagnostic data, and high-resolution images, to request a specialist’s opinion or guidance on specific cases.
In this updated process, the dermatology provider at the ANMC Dermatology Clinic will perform a written consult that will be sent to the referring provider’s clinic. The referring provider will be responsible for implementing the recommended treatment or next steps.
What:
The ANMC Dermatology Clinic has updated its Teledermatology consultation service. We will be holding 3 webinar sessions, with the goal of connecting with our Tribal Health Partners to share details about the revised process, answer questions, and gather feedback.
Who:
All Tribal Health Organizations (THOs) providers and support staff requesting ANMC Dermatology Store-and-Forward (Teledermatology) services.
When: You are welcome to join all three, but the content will be the same for each.
Why:
To improve communication with our Tribal Health Partners, streamline provider workflows, enhance efficiency, and support the delivery of care in rural Alaska.
Impact:
This update aims to improve provider-to-provider communication, optimize healthcare resources, and ensure effective care delivery in rural communities across Alaska.
