DiSC Communication: Understanding You

Each of us has our own personality, preferences and styles. Our individual styles influence who we collaborate well with, and who we tend to have more difficulty with. This training will help you gain a deeper understanding of your style and an introduction to the other styles.

Learning Objectives

At the conclusion, participants should be able to:

  • Identify your own DiSC style
  • Recall similarities and differences among the styles
  • Give examples of each behavior styles different priorities, motivations, stressors, and limitations
  • Explain a method called people reading
  • Recognize people’s DiSC Styles based on their behavioral cues

Course Outline

  1. Introductions
  2. Describe what DiSC is
  3. History of DiSC
  4. Identify your DiSC style
  5. Introduction to styles
  6. Discuss Priorities, Motivations, Stressors, and Limitations of each style
  7. Discuss the importance of knowing someone’s style
  8. People reading activity

For the best experience, you’ll want to have a working microphone, a webcam, and be docked with at least one monitor.
