Target Audience
This activity is intended for health care providers involved in the care of the trauma patient, including:
- Practicing physicians
- Residents
- Advanced practice clinicians
- Medical students in their final year of study
Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this course, learners will be able to:
- Demonstrate the concepts and principles of the primary and secondary patient assessment
- Establish management priorities in a trauma situation
- Identify primary and secondary management necessary within the golden hour for the emergency management of acute-life threatening conditions
- Participate in a simulated clinical and surgical skills practicum where they will demonstrate skills that are often required in the initial assessment and treatment of patients with multiple injuries.
There is availability in the October ATLS course scheduled for October 28 & 29. This is a full two-day traditional course. To register please contact Angeline Washington at alwashington@anthc.org. this course will be held on the ANTHC Campus in the EDC building.
