Happy National Nurses Week!

This week, May 6-12, ANTHC is recognizing it’s hardworking nurses during National Nurses Week.

Recognizing the contributions that nursing and nurses make to our Community. This week, ANTHC is celebrating National Nurses Week, starting May 6 and ending May 12 on Florence Nightingale’s Birthday.

This year’s theme is “Nurses Make the Difference,” recognizing the incredible men and women who embody the spirit of compassion and care.

To say ‘Thank You’ to our incredible nurses at ANTHC, this week is filled with appreciation and goodies. Shipping challenges have created a delay in gifts, ANTHC hopes to have them distributed to managers and leadership teams by the end of this week/ early next week. On Wednesday, May 8, The light breakfast grab ‘n’ go with leaders is scheduled to be inclusive for all staff.

Grab n’ Go Breakfast on Wednesday, May 8, 2024 (Coffee, tea, Motley Crew Bakery, fresh fruit)

  • 6- 8 a.m: ANMC Nursing Staff
    • ANMC Conference Room 2
  • 8- 10 a.m.: Outpatient & Specialty Clinic Nurses
    • HCB 210
    • ULMC & APMB – Your nurse leaders will pick up their baskets to help deliver it to your building. 
  • 6- 8 p.m.- ANMC Nursing Staff (Night Shift)
    • ANMC Conference Room 2

Nurse Bingo! 

This is a fun activity where you get to connect with your colleagues and upon completion, be entered into a raffle prize. Completed bingo cards will be collected daily from the CRN/med clerk/ front desk of your area. If you do not have enough cards, additional cards can be collected when completed ones are picked up.

This year, the American Nurses Association is illuminating the spirit of nursing excellence by lighting up landmarks across the country in honor of National Nurses Week. The #NursesLightUpTheSky” campaign is designed to rally citizens across the country in support of nurses. If you would like to participate, just snap a photo with a participating building a post it on social media with the hashtag #NursesLightUpTheSky to show your support. Next week from May 12- May 18, ANTHC will recognize all employees who work in health care during National Hospital Week.
