The Cook Inlet Tribal Council (CITC) Native Youth Olympics (NYO) games are being held in-person April 21-23 at the Alaska Airlines Center. ANTHC is a proud supporter of the NYO Games and athletes, who embody wellness and determination!
The Opening Ceremonies take place on Thursday, April 21 at 1 p.m. ANTHC will have several programs participating in the Opportunities Expo held during the three days of the games. Stop by and see our Wellness and Prevention, Behavioral Health Wellness Clinic, Walk-In Clinic at ANMC and Recruiting teams!

Expo Hours of Operation
- Thursday, April 21: 12 noon– 6 p.m.

The 2022 Senior Native Youth Olympics (SNYO) games are Thursday, April 21 through Saturday, April 23, at the Alaska Airlines Center.
The 2022 Senior Native Youth Olympics (SNYO) games are Thursday, April 21 through Saturday, April 23, at the Alaska Airlines Center. This year’s games will be the first in-person edition of the games since 2019. Organizers are taking all appropriate precautions to create a safe, welcoming environment for athletes, coaches, volunteers, and fans. High school seniors were freshmen at the last in-person event in 2019.
The 10 NYO events are designed to test skills and abilities originally used to maintain fitness for subsistence activities. Student-athletes (grades 7-12), from all cultures, are encouraged to compete in the games and celebrate Alaska’s rich history and diversity. Medals will be awarded for first, second, and third place finishers.
Competition Events: Student-athletes will participate in the following events:

- Two-foot High Kick
- One-foot High Kick
- One-hand Reach
- Seal Hop
- Scissor Broad Jump
- Eskimo Stick Pull
- Kneel Jump
- Wrist Carry
